WHAT YOU TOLD US EARLIER
This Neighbourhood Plan is intended to represent the wishes of the community. In order to find out which issues you wanted it to tackle we first sent questionnaires to all residents in July 2015 and again in October 2016. 278 of you returned responses to us.
In late 2016 we also sent a questionnaire to businesses and organisations in the village. Of 51 canvassed, 13 sent responses.
In July 2016 at the village fete we asked visitors to note down things they wanted to see addressed in the Plan, and 132 comments were made.
We then collated all your comments so that we could see what the main issues were.
In all we had 1874 comments which we broke down into the categories listed below.

flooding and drainage related: 159 comments
All of these comments raised concerns about flooding problems in both Saham Toney and Saham Hills, and some reported flooding of people's homes as well as streets and surrounding land. Where people gave an address their information was used to annotate the flood maps in Part 2 of the Plan
miscellaneous: 31 comments
These responses covered such things as litter, neighbours' trees, facilities in Watton, activities for youngsters, dog nuisance, retention of Parish Council land, respect for those with disabilities, expanding Saham Saga and hedge cutting, and so didn't fit in any of the main categories. They were generally the views of a single resident and cannot be dealt with under planning policies as they don't relate to land development
