Message from Brian Hinkins, Parish Council Chairman
On behalf of Saham Toney Parish Council and the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group welcome to the Saham Toney Neighbourhood Plan, which deals with land development in the parish over the period up to 2036.
While some may not want any changes to Saham Toney, development is nothing new. At various times our predecessors faced similar challenges. What they perhaps thought to be too modern, we now consider to be picturesque and worth preserving. So Saham Toney will continue to adapt and develop, and the purpose of this Neighbourhood Plan is to give us all the chance to influence and shape how that happens.
On behalf of the Parish Council and residents of Saham Toney I would like to thank those who have worked so hard in the production of the Neighbourhood Plan and the wider community for their ideas and participation which have shaped and determined the vision, objectives and policies that will help determine the future of the parish.
Message from Chris Blow, Neighbourhood Plan Work Group Leader
On behalf of the small group of parishioners who have written this Plan, welcome to the site we have prepared to help you find out as much - or as little - about the Plan as you want to .
We hope you will find the site interesting, informative and easy to use, and most of all that you will feel the Plan represents the village as well as it's intended to.
We got involved as we care about the future of Saham Toney, but this is not our plan, it's yours. Its whole foundation is the responses villagers have given to earlier consultations. From those we established what the most important issues are to villagers, and then wrote policies to ensure those issues are tackled. All that has had to be done in a tight regulatory framework and with the most robust evidence we can come up with.
It's by no means an overnight job and we still have some major stages to go through, but we hope you will like what we've done so far.
